Description
Size: about 7/8 x 1 1/8 inch
Material: Bronze
This medal features St Therese with a beautiful ribbon border. She is holding a crucifix with a spray of roses. The reverse has the Latin motto “I will let fall a shower of roses”. It refers to her statement “After my death, I will let fall a shower of roses. I will spend my heaven doing good upon earth”.
St Therese of Lisieux was an ordinary girl with an extraordinary soul. She developed a deep and abiding faith in Jesus and trust in his will for her. She became a Carmelite nun at age 15. Therese defined her path to God and holiness as The Little Way, which consisted of child-like love and trust in God. She wrote the spiritual classic, “The Story of a Soul” to tell about her life and help others to understand her simple way of serving God. She died in 1897 at age 24 from tuberculosis.
The medal was cast in sterling silver from an antique medal in the Rosa Mystica Collection so it shows all the beauty and history of the original piece. It comes with a matching holy card in an organza gift bag, ready for gift-giving, and was made in the USA.

Beautiful. I used the St. Therese medal along with the JMJ crucifix to make a rosary for my daughter’s Godmother. I love how it turned out.
