This unique French medal features St Peter imprisoned in chains. Chapter 12 of The Acts of the Apostles describes when St Peter was imprisoned by King Herod and freed by an angel. The French inscription reads “St Pierre Es Liens Priez P(our) N(ous)” which means “St Peter In Chains Pray For Us.”
