This lovely medal shows Jesus pointing to His Sacred Heart with one and pointing up to His Heavenly Father with His other hand.
The reverse side of the medal shows Our Lady of Olives with the engraving “O.L. Of Olives Protect Us From Floods And Storms.” Our Lady of Olives refers to a statue of Blessed Virgin Mary made of olive wood that survived a fire in the French village of Murat. The statue became a focal point for devotion, particularly as a protector against storms and during childbirth, and Pope Leo XIII officially recognized the title in 1878.
The medal was cast in sterling silver from an antique medal in the Rosa Mystica Collection so it shows all the beauty and history of the original piece. It comes with a matching holy card in an organza gift bag, ready for gift-giving, and was made in the USA.
